Hullo there! Welcome to Avenue Queer, the gateway to Kelli Dunham’s Examiner column about LGBT events in NYC.
You might know me as a stand up/comic and writer, and if that’s what you’re looking for, no worries, just slide on over to my main site.
But if you’re looking to read up about what the five boroughs have to offer a queer person, snoop around here a bit. I started the Examiner column because there’s so many amazing things to do in New York, but it seems like only the biggest names, the glitteriest, the most (let’s admit) mainstream events get press coverage. I want to give some time and space to my fellow homos who are doing interesting stuff, making groundbreaking events happen and helping other queers and the greater community.
Here’s what you can do from here:
Links to event listings, reviews, interviews will appear on the “posts” page as I put them up at examiner.com.
If you’re a performer, producer or publicist looking to hook up some coverage, read the “pitch me, baby” page and then shoot me an email.
Finally, check out the “Upcoming” page for what I’ve got up my little gay sleeve. Besides an outdated dolphin tattoo.
